support project open door

Project Open Door (POD) is committed to providing free access to high-quality arts learning and careers in art and design for teens.

To ensure the sustainability of our work, we ask of your support through a donation to POD. Any support helps to ensure that arts education and programming is accessible to Rhode Island's youth artists. In 2019, POD supported approximately 200 high school students from Providence, Pawtucket, Central Falls, and Woonsocket. 86% of our students are young people of color. Our Saturday Portfolio Program holds a 96% retention rate, and since 2015, 100% of seniors attending POD have graduated from high school.

How will my donation be put to use?

Your support will help purchase art supplies, fund programs, workshops, and field trips, and support Teaching Artists.

Project Open Door (POD) is immensely grateful to the generous support of the Hasbro Foundation, Ocean State Charities Trust, and the Rhode Island School of Design, whose investments in POD have made our work possible and sustainable and directly impact the teens participating in our programs.

“Project Open Door allowed me to connect to other artists which I don't often get to do in school. My time here has allowed me to explore different mediums, styles of art, and push the boundaries of what I can achieve. POD has changed my life and I hope to join similar art communities in the future.”
