Another I/Eye: Photographic Memory and Imagination Spring 2024

In our spring photo class, we explored how photography can be a tool for looking more deeply at the world, a way of creating and witnessing relationships, and an art of shaping how we remember moments, places, and ultimately, histories. We visited Special Collections at PPL and looked at our own family/friend photo albums to see how photos can document histories within both institutional and personal archives. We also took photo walks with the pigeons along the Providence river, and held studio sessions to play with light, color, and movement to make portraits of each other. Finally, we used photoshop and cyanotype processes to edit and print our photos into the physical form that you see here today!
